I am frantically packing for India

I have spent the day ironing all my linen clothes and making a new cami, trousers and sparkly top. The new camera is excellent and I intend to take hundreds of pictures whilst in India.

The office here will be staffed as usual but you are most likely to catch someone during the mornings before the post leaves at 13.50. Thanks for all the comments about Stitch That – I was pleased with it except for the goof with a colour on the peony……

Have a lovely fortnight and I will keep in touch via Twitter if I can work out how to do it!

Happy stitching

Sewing for Pleasure Exhibition

sewing-for-pleasure-11.jpgIt was lovely to meet so many of you, whilst exhibiting at Sewing for Pleasure at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham (England). It is nine years since we have been at this show – in the past it clashed with another fair which made our attendance impossible. This time, we held an Itch to Stitch event, and I cannot tell you how many French knots were created amongst much laughter!sewing-for-pleasure-3.jpgsewing-for-pleasure-5.jpgIt was a great event and Bill & I are very grateful to our two teachers, Carol Weighill and Janet Simpson for their patience and good humour! I hope to see many many more of you in the next few weeks as we will be setting up at Stitch & Craft at Olympia (London) on 26th March and we will do it all again. For information about the show go to www.twistedthread.com for details.

Welcome to the new Jane’s Journal

Welcome to the brand new all singing, all dancing ‘Jane’s Journal’ –I hope you like the new format as much as we do at HQ. I am going to be updating the journal a lot more from now on and this is the place to look to keep up to date with happening here at CSG HQ. For those of you new to the Cross Stitch Guild, headquarters is here at Pinks Barn in Fairford, England. This is where the work goes on behind the scenes and where I do my designing and stitching.

Pearl Wedding Anniversary

bill-and-jane-pearl-wedding.jpg

I thought you would like to see this picture. Bill and I are holding a stitched card and envelope! One of our Cross Stitch Guild members, Hazel Anderson sent this in time for our Pearl Wedding Anniversary.  When I opened the post box, I thought some stitching had fallen out of an envelope. You can imagine my amazement when I realised that the stitched envelope actually was stamped and had come through the post! Many thanks to Hazel and is she going to start a trend?
