Back in the Uk and surrounded by paper

Bill and I had a lovely trip to Umbria and I am going to unpack and do the washing before getting down to work. I am not sure where to start – my head is full of  ideas and I dare not start drawing now or there will be no clean shirts and no supper.

Back with pictures shortly

janegreenoff.com The Knitting & Stitching Show

What a week! It has been really busy.  I know I said I would put up pictures of our stand days ago, but this is the first chance I have had! I have been invaded by Americans, unpacked the show, started packing for the next one, completed the  designing for Issue 83, planned a new rage of Biscornu, bought a gorgeous winter jacket and Bill and I leave for Italy in the early hours of Wednesday morning. I do know that we are doing too much but while you can – you must.

My American Invasion

These lovely girls drove all the way from London for an hour or so at Pinks Barn.  We had tea and a chat and off they went again. I suggested a bit of a circular tour of the Cotswolds and away they went!

Yesterday, Bill (oh, you must be the husband), Sarah my  incredible new PA and I went to the first showing of the Sampler Exhibition at Witney Antiques. I had to be dragged away – the band samplers were to die for. I might add that my favourite example had been sold by 2.30pm to a CSG Member. Grrrr!

The Knitting and Stitching Show!

What can I say to you all? We had a marvellous show- lots of people came for a Taster Class and many joined the CSG for the first time. Our stand, even tho’ I say it myself, looked lovely and I felt quite puffed up about it. Usual nerves on the first morning but we had the best first day in history!

As often happens after an event like this, I am now really excited and have a head full of ideas. It is almost as if I have to keep a lid on my ideas box in my head until after the show but it pops of immediately we get back to Pinks Barn- just like a jack in a box!! The problem is that I have to sort the stock and put everything away before I am allowed to sit at my computer. Grrrr!

I will put up some pictures of the show later today if I am allowed back at my desk. Have a lovely week and hopefully we will meet up again soon

Happy, happy stitching!

View the NEW Itch to Stitch eBrochure

I am so excited about this – The team at Iconnet have been nagging about an E-Brochure for over a year and have finally persuaded me that it is the way forward. I must admit to being bowled over when I saw the completed brochure for the first time. You just click on the bottom corner of the page and it turns just like a book and you can even hear the page turning!

My new book, at last!

My new book

The New Book is Here !

I know that the book is very late arriving – the publication date was originally March, but I am actually really thrilled with it – I was scared to mention it before in case it did not really exist. I have been signing and dedicating all morning and lots of copies will be posted over the weekend.

If you have not seen this new title yet, here are some more images for you to examine. The book is divided across the width so that you can mix and match alphabets and motifs. All very clever! It has a hard cover which has been laminated to keep it clean  and a spiral binding so that the pages lie flat

Sample pages from new book

What a clever idea!

I would like to claim some credit for the idea but sadly it was not mine! I hope you find the book as useful as we imagine it will be. To order you can go to Books and Media and it will take you straight there.

More sample pages from new book

If you are confused about the view of the two images in the pictures above, it is easy to explain. The pictures on the left hand side pages are of the completed stitching and the pictures on the right hand side are charts. You can really see what is going on in every open spread.
