Picture of Bumble taken by our son James -It is not as if he is allowed on the sofa!
You can see from these images – you cannot be sure what colour your Bearded Collie may become. When Biggles arrived he was the colour of plain chocolate and his coat the the colour of pale mink now. These pictures were taken by my son, James, during the Christmas break!

Bumble is a sweetie and is much loved where ever he goes. He belongs to the “noisy bunch” when he goes to kennels and has a wonderful time. He spends his days in the Studio, usually in the way, probably lying on my feet and always looks as if he is laughing…….. By the way the picture at the top of the page was not cruel to animals whatever Bumble tells you. My daughter, Louise, did this digitally and I knew you would love it!
I think his expression exactly describes how he feels about the puppy we are hoping for – possible at the end of January. Watch this space for pictures.
The Story of the Beardies
When we first moved to Pink’s Barn, I explained to my very patient husband that as the house was large, a barn and had solid floors, a dog would be compulsory.
Charlie, a strawberry blonde Beardie, was the result of these conversations. I had always wanted a Bearded Collie and he agreed on the understanding that I bought the puppy, insured it and was entirely responsible for all exercising, walking, washing and the clearing up department!I think it was two weeks after Charlie Greenoff arrived, Bill was found doing star jumps down by the lake and having a wonderful game with our dog!
Charlie was a very good puppy and rather a grumpy old boy by the time we lost him early in 2007! The dear old thing will live on as I have added some of his hair to one of my samplers (the Victorians did it after all!) See Band Samplers and look at the Secret Garden

Charlie was six years old when we acquired Bumble, his nephew, and was not happy to share his life with this little monster – Bumble, was a very naughty puppy – It took a couple of weeks for them to become friends and then they never looked back.
